What is Financial Hardship?
Financial hardship occurs when you are temporarily or permanently unable to meet your debt obligations due to unexpected events such as:
Loss of employment or reduced income
Illness, injury, or disability
Family breakdown or domestic violence
Natural disasters
Increased cost of living or other financial pressures

We assess all hardship requests on a case-by-case basis and treat all information you provide with the strictest confidence.
To apply for financial hardship assistance, please follow the steps below:
How to Apply for Financial Hardship Assistance in 5 easy steps
STEP ONE
Download and Complete the Hardship Form
Start by downloading the Statement of Financial Position form. This helps us understand your current situation.
STEP TWO
Complete the Customer Identity Form
Go to our Customer Identity Form and verify your identity
STEP THREE
Select "Financial Hardship" as your Enquiry Type
In the Nature of Enquiry dropdown, choose Financial Hardship so we can prioritise your request
STEP FOUR
Upload your Statement of Financial Position
Attach your completed form using the Upload Supporting Documentation section at the bottom of the enquiry form
STEP FIVE
Submit your Request
Once you've completed the form and uploaded your documents, Submit your Enquiry.

What Happens Next?
We aim to assess hardship requests as quickly as possible, typically within x business days.
If your request is approved, we may offer:
Temporary payment reduction or suspension
An affordable payment arrangement
A review of fees or interest (where applicable)
If we require more information, we'll contact you directly.
